Norma RUBI Macias. One of those people I consider my ‘best friend.’ She was the super hero and I was her side kick. She was always there for me when I needed to talk to her. She knew how to make my five months in Washington one of the best experiences of my life. I remember having late night hot coco, late night conversations in her dorm, and those moments where we were just simply being spontaneous. I miss her so much. I remember when we were getting ready for a little dance that was being held at WSU and as soon as we got there we felt under dress because EVERYONE was all dressed up with dresses and high heels. We felt so embarrass to the point where we decided to hang out outside of the ballroom. I miss having to look under her door to check if she was in her room. I remember when it was literally 50 degrees out and we had breakfast then sat on the bleachers at the Martin Stadium to watch Echoe’s rugby game. I loved how every single time I got in trouble she was there to get the scoldings with me. I cannot wait for me to go back to Washington to visit her. I cannot wait for her to come to Hawaii and visit me. I miss you, Rubi! Thank you everything that you have done for me. You were one of those people who made WSU one of the best experiences ever. I miss you & I love you. Take care of yourself till I get back alright? Love ya.
